Alani Nu Pre-Workout Review: Effects, Ingredients & Results
Alani Nu is a supplement company and is known for its broad variety of products for women. One of those products is the Alani Nu pre-workout supplement which we will review in today's article.
Pre-workouts are great supplements to give your workout an extra boost. They contain a blend of ingredients that combined give you pronounced energy, focus, strength to crush your training.
Alani Nu makes supplements to boost your health and overall wellness. Their pre-workout is considered to be one of the best pre-workouts for women by some experts.
We put the Alani Nu pre-workout to the test and will share our experience in this article.
What Is Alani Nu Pre-Workout?
Contents
Alani Nu is a pre-workout supplement mainly focused on women since it contains fewer ingredients than regular pre-workouts.
They claim that it will give you the following effects: sustained energy, endurance, and pumps.
We've seen these claims a lot with these types of products. However, many don't come close to the effects that they claim.
After researching this pre-workout, we soon saw that this product is over-hyped by many ‘fitness influencers.' They promote this supplement to give you amazing energy but also muscle gains.

When we take a peek at the ingredients we quickly see that it's a very basic formula. However, we will discuss more on the ingredients later on in this review.
One of their selling points is that it contains no filler or any other artificial flavors, which is always a good thing.
As of January 2021, it comes in 9 different flavors. So there definitely is a flavor available for each of their own.
Ingredients
Let's take a closer look at the supplements facts of Alani Nu Pre-Workout. The first thing we noticed is the moderate amount of ingredients used.
The following ingredients are in Alani Nu Pre-Workout:
- 6 grams L-Citrulline Malate 2:1
- 1.6 grams Beta-Alanine
- 500mg L-Tyrosine
- 200mg Caffeine
- 200mg L-Theanine
They added L-Citrulline's right dosage(6grams), which increases nitric oxide(NO) levels in your body. N.O. is known to improve blood flow and performance when working out.
Another great ingredient is Beta-Alanine, which helps with an overall physical performance like strength and endurance(1). You will find Beta-Alanine in almost every pre-workout, simply because it's useful.
The only downside is that it can give you a tingling feeling, so it's probably the Beta-Alanine if you experience this. Unfortunately, they choose to add only half of the clinical study dosage, which is 3.2 grams. You will still feel the effects, but you will need to take two scoops for the optimal dose.
There is just one stimulant in this pre-workout, which is caffeine. 200mg is a suitable dosage for people that are not used to get lots of caffeine in. It will give you a nice kick of energy and mental focus in the gym.
To conclude: If we would only look at the ingredients, you could say that this pre-workout is very limited. There are just five ingredients, and most of them have a very low dosage making it almost not effective.

Price & Availability
You can purchase Alani Nu Pre-Workout from either the official website or directly from Amazon. The costs are both the same, precisely $40 for one tub.
One tub will get you 30 servings with 9,6grams per scoop of active ingredients. If we consider the number of ingredients in it vs. the price, you could conclude that it's an expensive product.
A comparable product with almost the same ingredients and servings size is C4 Pre-Workout, which costs around $20.
Our Alani Nu Pre-Workout Experience
With every supplement review, we test the product multiple times to get a good idea of the effects.
We already knew that this product wouldn't give a lot of energy like Amped AF or Dark Energy. However, the energy effects we got were disappointing. We must note that we are used to drinking caffeinated drinks, so that didn't help.
We noticed some increase in muscle pumps after using it, and the workouts were pretty decent.
What we missed was that ‘tunnel vision' focus we get with other pre-workouts. However, that is something they don't advertise. They claim that it gives you energy, pumps, and endurance.
Overall, we did like using it since it gave us that slight advantage. However, compared to the effects we noticed doesn't come close to the impact of other high demanding pre-workouts.
The Bottom Line
Alani Nu Pre-Workout has a very standard formula and amount of ingredients. It doesn't contain anything special, which you would expect for the price you have to pay.
This product is a suitable pre-workout for starters. It's nothing too spectacular, but it will still help you get an energy kick and muscle pumps. If you're looking for a pre-workout that will absolutely crush your workouts, we would advise looking at Wrecked.
In our opinion, this pre-workout is perfect for beginners or people that are not used to taking stimulants. The price is considered high compared to other products with similar formulas.
However, if you don't mind spending the extra bucks and you're looking for an entry pre, then Alani Nu Pre-Workout is for you.
